Located on the Moretonbay foreshore, stately Ormiston house and museum is a great side trip on a Sunday afternoon. Learn the history of one of Brisbane's prominent families.

This delightful house is only open on Sunday afternoons. It is like going back in time to when the house was first built in the 1860s. Beautifully preserved and loads of information about the history of the house and its owners. The grounds are worth...More

Such a beautiful colonial house sitting up above the bay at Ormiston. A team of volunteers offer excellent tours and advice on history. Stroll through important history of the 1860s and our early settlement in Queensland. Stroll through the grounds and look south to Cleveland...More

Ormiston House has special car days through out the year, they are really worth a visit. It is a very significant Queensland heritage site for the sugar cane industry in Australia. The tea and scones are a real treat.

There is just one house and a 'shed' to see. The gardens are actually not what I expected and I did find them somewhat disappointing - I didn't see anything special in them and they are not that big. I can see how children would...More
