Spoke with Geoff the owner and also spoke with the gemologist. Very helpful. They have a wide range of affordable opals for all budgets. - Nat L1 contributionLoved it! Give this place a big thumbs up.Loved it! We paid for the Gold class tour $195 for up to 4 people and we got to cut and polished 2 gem stones ourselves and get to choose to keep one, we liked both so bought the other one as well, check 'em out! We give this place a big thumbs up, highly recommended this particular tour.Visited May 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten May 17, 2023
- LSQRD1Kent, Ohio807 contributionsWoth a visit if you are interested in opalsWe stopped in with the idea of learning about opals and purchasing one that was not set (we are mineral collectors). We took an uber to the museum which is away from the central riverfront area and pretty much had the small place to ourselves. The staff was helpful and they put a lot of effort into this small museum. Overall, if you are an opal fan it is worth a top.Visited June 2023Written August 17, 2023
- Theresa S1 contributionThank you! Loved our visit.Amazing to visit! Learnt a lot about opals from Misha who was so knowledgeable and fun. Then watched Bryce do a great job polishing 2 opals and got to take one home with the Gold Class tour. Couldn’t help buy a ring from the shop either. 🥰 Very helpful. Thank you, especially Misha & Bryce. 10/10Visited December 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 14, 2023
- anantha2Beitou, Taipei23 contributionsOpal museum and storeA good place to know more about opal. There is a small area to see more about opal in the museum, the staff are friendly indeed and they take pains to educate kids on stones! You can buy opal in the showroom and also polish your own stone for 50$. All in all a good place to spend an hour!Visited December 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 21, 2023

- Zuzana O1 contributionStefanie fanclubAmazing experience all around. I ended up having a private guided tour with Stefanie as no one else booked for the time slot and I can't recommend her enough! Very friendly and joyful with undeniable passion for opals. I had no prior knowledge but she can go as scientific as you'd like! She even told me a bit about aboriginal myths related to opals. If you go during a weekday you can also watch the on-site jeweller at work. Highly recommend.Visited March 2024Traveled soloWritten March 17, 2024

It's a small museum with lots of stones and opals displayed. The receptionist Stephanie was super nice guiding us to the exhibition and Bryce grinded our opals for us. He was so nice and we talked all the time learning about opals and the process of grinding and polishing them. It was so interesting to watch and so worth the money. We would definetly recommend!!!

Hi Jim, good to see you today! As you now know that guy I'm the video was me. I can show customers how we cut and polish opals but my insurance company won't let visitors try :-(.

We have a fossicking pan that people can sift through. It's fun and we have people spending a few minutes to 20 minutes doing it.
