Wonderful gallery, make sure you give yourself quite a long time as there is a lot to see. The cafe is outstanding, some seating outside near the water pond, sculptures, and under a huge tree with water monitor lizards, if your lucky

Last time I visited, there were a large amount of more classical artworks on display. Perhaps my taste has changed, or I’m more aware, but I was surprised at the wide range of aboriginal art on display, both traditional and modern aboriginal art including basketry.More

Definitely worth your time! There are 4 free guided tours on Sundays from 11-14:00. The 1pm tour focuses on Australian art and 2pm is highlights of the whole collection. You can find more info on their website. Galleries are of different themes, instead of time...More

What an asset for Brisbane. Admission is free to the main galleries. Currently an excellent exhibition of aboriginal art works. So colourful large works in the aboriginal women’s art section. A great collection of Australian artists.More
