Just a great Gallery well run and so open and accesible to the public. We visited on a Sunday and were amazed at the number of visitors - young and old - local and overseas visitors. Congratulations to the Management and staff.
This gallery is a walking distance from queensland state library and gallery of modern art.
It has very nice collection of artworks by different artist mostly from pacific area.
The entrance is free and it has a very beautiful interor.

The QLD Art Gallery is full of surprises. Picasso, Rodin, Streeton and Tom Roberts. Sweet little gems such as the work of Emanuel Phillips Fox and so many others. I admit to some bias as I was working with the collection this week.

This museum doesn't really have that much in it, and the combination of art doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The classical art is minimal, which isn't really what I'd expect. The modern art museum had much more interesting stu ff.
