The museum is situated on the South Bank and is close to the ferry stop and station of the same name. There's lot of natural history exhibits pertaining to the flora and fauna of Australia, with displays about dinosaurs, including examples of their footprints. I...More

The museum is one of the few things you can do for free and has a good collection of animals and dinosaurs. Some of the areas are closed for renovation at the moment so I would imagine you could spend quite a lot of time...More

While it is fun to visit, for a local displays need to change more often. Will come back when the science centre opens, but other than that it's really not worth it. More hands on activities are needed for children.

An awesome display of Egyptian mummies and various items of jewelry and embalming tools. Plenty of things to see and touch for young kids too, even areas where they can climb under/through to see what Bush cockroaches live like underground through the glass!

For lovers of Egyptology and science... mummies, embalming and the gods are all explained thoroughly with accompanying videos in this exhibition. Children were fascinated by this display and the timed entries allow everyone the space needed to see it all. The dinosaur exhibition below is...More
