We had a lovely time at the springs. We saw fish and had some toes nibbled by the fresh water yabbies (stay away from the sides as that’s where they appear to be)! We had noodles but you can hire them from the on-site kiosk. There are toilet facilities there too. The water was beautiful. The steps to get in and out are vertical so if you have mobility issues it may be difficult for you to get out. There are beautiful dragonflies everywhere.

This was a nice place to get away from the city and spend a relaxing afternoon with friends. It was a little bit busy, but what can you expect on a hot day

An easy drive from Darwin. Lovely pools easily accessible for all the family. There are steps available. The small waterfall has warmer water entering the cooler springs which makes for a surprise. Watch the rocks under the water when you travel to the deeper pools further along. They can cause a bump. Take noodles. Peaceful and tranquil experience.

We went for a quick look at the Springs - our timing was perfect (around 10am) as it wasn't busy.. Swimming is lovely with the water temperature tepid. Swim around the corner to the small waterfall for a change of scenery. Recommend you bring a pool noodle to float on otherwise it's pretty tiring keeping yourself afloat. The bbq areas nearby are lovely, with plenty of bbqs and shade and grass. A really nice place to spend a day with the kids.

After the delights of the Territory Wildife Park, we dropped by Berry Springs for a much needed swim. The Springs were amazing given how many people must visit them. The water was crystal clear and a little warmer than Wangi Falls. Great spot for a picnic and to chill wth the family. parking was easy enough and there were change facilities and toilets too. All in all a great spot to visit for a few hours or day trip.

The water here is amazingly clear. You can see the bottom through 2m of it, and see several species of fish swimming nearby as you cool down in the beautiful water.

After some good advice from fellow holiday makers, we spent the morning at the Springs, and I’m so glad we did. Still traveling, but nearly my favorite place we have visited so far.
Tip of the day, leave your towels and belongings at the main lagoon, go to the top and float to your way back down.
Spring pool was lovely with being able to sit under the small waterfall, and then cruising down to the main lagoon, navigating between rocks. My favorite was the lower lagoon, quieter and more area in the shade. Such a brilliant turquoise colour!
Plenty of parking and picnic areas.

It's best to look at the Litchfield NP on the NN Tourism page. It wasn't when we visited but might be now.

Are there a lot of fish in here, ones that like to nibble at you?? I'm a little "scared" of them touching me - more in a phobic way. Eeek!

We swam at Berry Springs in July and it was on a Monday we saw a notice on the Friday when we got home saying they had caught a 1.6 meter crocodile at the very spot we had been swimming in. They closed Berry Springs whilst they removed the crocodile and reopened it once they where sure it was safe to use again. There where heaps of people swimming there when we where there Im sure they keep a pretty good lookout for any crocs because so many go there.
Do you need a FWD to access Berry Springs?
