The St. Mary's cathedral is interesting from the outside, but even more striking and beautiful inside. It comprises a modern arch-style of roof that exudes a soaring, open feeling. The ends both contain large beautiful stained glass windows. The church is designed or the climate and is cool at any time, allowing any breeze to pass through. One thing I especially like is that the building was open and welcoming every time I walked past.

This Cathedral is designated as a War Memorial and a Cathedral, it was hit by bombs during WW2 still has some remnants in it on display such as statues that were hit and damaged during the bombardment.
It is worth a visit, very calm building.

A beautiful building with spectacular windows. The bishop gives a great homily too. Well worth a visit when visiting Darwin (even if you are not Catholic)

The stained glass windows and the Baptism font were beautiful and the angel statue that survived World War 2 was special

The architecture and decore of the Cathedral is well worth the visit. Take note of the very special painting of the Madonna and Child. Visitors are always welcome whether you are going to join a service or simply for some quiet time. I would recommend a visit to the Cathedral when you are in the Darwin CBD.

Well worth a visit for Catholics and non Catholics alike. Shows a good example of how to build in the tropics. Open, bright and airy. A very peaceful place to visit.

Lovely stained glass windows! The church stands proud in town and looks so inviting. We sat inside for 20 mins soaking in the breeze and lovely windows. Regular services take place. Spacious and airy inside. A nice spot to take refuge from the heat and take some time to reflect.

This is fairly small for a Cathedral but nevertheless is beautiful with wonderful stained glass windows mainly behind the main altar and side altars, which are both dedicated to Our Lady. The Stations of the Cross around the sides of the church are amongst the most colourful and best that I've seen. It is well worth a visit.

This is an amazing building. The architecture is tremendous you can get lost in the stained glass windows. There is no airconditiong, but the cross breeze and fans help with the heat. I have attended christenings, weddings and funerals. No matter what your faith this building is welcoming and calming. It is a lovely place.
