The emphasis has shifted with the Mindil Markets - about 15 years ago when we last visited it was a good mix of crafts and food, now it is mostly food (around 75%). The non-food stalls are mostly commodity tourist goods but there were a...More

A must do when in Darwin and a great way to try a variety of food. Be warned that while a lot of the stalls have slightly inflated prices, the majority are well worth it! After dessert head down to the beach to enjoy the...More

We caught the number 4 bus (6 also an option) in the early afternoon and enjoyed the botanical gardens first then walked back across the road to meander through the markets. So much food options on offer, entertainment and quality crafts, as well as bird...More

What's not to like about these beachside markets? A big tick all round: a great vibe, interesting stalls (not your average market trinkets), along with great food and crowd-pleasing entertainment. After exploring the stalls, we took our chicken satays and freshly-squeezed juices to the beach...More

Just love the Mindil Beach Markets. So much to offer great food, great shopping - 'different & not tacky' products for sale, & wow what on night to celebrate Territory Day.

The market are fab. Great location to watch the sunset over the sea. I usually just look at the shopping but I found items I actually wanted and likes. We had paella that was so delicious

Open during this period over the dry season Thursday & Sunday nights 4pm - 10pm well worth the visit. If driving you’ll need to get their early for a park, hope this helps regards Wayne.
