About
Aquascene is a popular fish feeding sanctuary in the heart of Darwin. Visit the fish at high tide when hundreds of friendly local wild fish swim to the shallow shoreline in search of a gratuitous meal of fresh bread. Over the course of this enduring 70 plus year tradition, the fish have shed their normal shyness and are willingly hand-fed to the delight of thousands of fascinated locals and tourists every year.

Remember to read the signs. Great opportunities for photos and videos, We took so many. The fish get into a frenzy while feeding. Youngsters that were their were really getting excited. This site is tidal dependent so check the viewing times on Aquascene.

Was an interesting experience. Lots of fish to feed with an ongoing commentary. Plenty of food was supplied to feed the fish. Would recommend doing this.

Visited Aquascene for quick fish feeding and ended up staying for an hour and a half. We had lots of fun and the talk throughout was informative.

I love this activity and have watched it grow over the last 25years or so , over many trips to Darwin. This activity is one I always recommend to everyone travelling to Darwin. It’s a family friendly activity , suits most weather conditions and with the commentary it is easy to about what you are seeing also

I was excited as my family loves animals but didn’t expect to sit and feed fish for 2.5 hours. We loved every minute of it. We saw so many species. The bat fish were a favourite. Feeding them with our toes was fun. A must do for all ages.

Fab experience, great value for money. The kids could have spent all day feeding the fish. It would be awesome to have some underwater cameras to be able to see all the action below the water too, but honestly very entertained

Brilliant fun! Ours kids (1 & 4 years old) had a great time feeding the fish and then playing on the little playground they have. Adults enjoyed it too and the staff were very knowledgeable

Absolutely amazing, feeling the fish with our toes was so much fun & a bit scary 😨 😀. We also got to see the massive residend Mud Crap which was a real treat. Highly recommended.
