If you've never seen the insides of a prison then this is the place to go. It was a working establishment until recently and stories abound about the activities and who was here and what went on. Good education for youngsters.
Very underrated piece of Darwin’s history. Well maintained buildings that are still being restored. The old block cell block was very interesting, if only the walls could talk. I agree that guided tours would be great, but for a donation entry fee it was excellent.
Basic museum - it is really just a disused old prison. It is worth reading all of the stories about the prisoners. Seeing where the last people were hanged was quite confronting. Definiately worth a visit but don't expect a lot of facilites here -...More
