So close to town to enjoy a quick picnic lunch and refreshing swim. Current was very strong so perfect for a float round the point. Large sandy beach, plenty of shade, easy access from our hotel.
When in Wagga on a nice sunny day, be sure to drive to Wagga beach, and sit and enjoy the ambience, this place is great for a picnic, swim, whatever. It is a huge area so you should find a spot among the locals.

This was next to our caravan park so spent some time here .The park is looked after with a lovely grassed area with bbq. Had a swim Walked up the river and came back with the current which was flowing quite fast .

The Wagga beach has been refurbished recently and Wagga Council has done a great job as there is now a covered place to sit and for BBQ.

This is a highlight of any trip to Wagga Wagga. The traditional and famous 5 O'clock wave (adjust for daylight saving) is a spectacular event for all. many people congregate to get this wonderful experience. Well worth a visit.

Recently revamped river walk, playground and facilities. Pack a picnic or bbq and your swimmers! A sandy beach and safe swimming area, with cool, clear water. Plenty of parking...spots for caravans too.More

The river is great to have a splash and play, bring the bucket and spade, lovely for a walk, newly updated playground and bbq area, no shade cover for it.More

The beach is on the banks of Murrumbidgee river with some sand along the banks. There is a caravan park near the “beach”.More

Beach is clean and tidy on an inland river, so tides aren't generally a problem except when irrigation water comes downstream from dams. As is normal for these type of locales the water can be very cold and the river bottom highly variable and dangerous....More
