Those push bike riders need to get off and walk. Each evening walking over the bridge the bikes are zooming past, very dangerous to pedestrians. Even more dangerous to kids, they would be sent flying. But I just love the old bridge.

We were lucky enough while having lunch in Cockle bay wharf to see the bridge in operation. It was amazing at the speed that it opens and closes. Very fast for an old working bridge. It was the first time I had seen it operate....More

Crossing this old and historically significant bridge, its one of the last working electrically operated swing opening bridges in the world avails you of a great viewing platform to see the Vivid light show on Cockle Bay and Darling Harbour. An easy and pleasant walk.

This bridge is one of the world's oldest surviving electrically operated swingspan bridges. We were lucky enough whilst walking along this bridge to see a boat arrive and the bridge to swing back to allow it to pass. Pedestrians are obviously stopped and need to...More

You get a really good view from the bridge and it’s nice when the sun’s out. This bridge links both sides of Darling Harbour and I took a stroll across it to get to the harbourside shopping center for lunch. Great spot and also very...More

Picturesque walk across Darling Harbour which many great photo opportunities . The bridge is only open to pedestrians and cyclists. The bridge actually swings open to allow taller boats to enter or leave the inner part of Darling Harbour, which is an attraction in its...More

A bridge which is actually a pedestrian walkway from Navel museum to steps leading down toward Darling Harbor area. Not really a “destination” per say but if you just happen to be walking that way it’s rather picturesque.

I liked the Pyrmont Bridge. It is dedicated for walkers and bikers. We had some great views, a bonus. It connects both sides of the Darling harbor. At the end we either chose the stairs or an escalator. I enjoyed my time here. It was...More

Like everything around Darling Harbour the bridge is well worth a visit and a great walking shortcut to get to the CBD. It’s as fast to get to the CBD from the Novotel walking across the bridge as it is by taxi. Great views also.
