The area
Neighborhood: Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.

So enjoyed staying across the Pyrmont Bridge beside the Maritime Museum
There is such an amazing walk around Cockle Bay Wharf in Sydney.
This cafe stands out as so inviting to visit for Coffee and Ice Cream. My favourite flavour was Baileys Ice Cream.
I called in each day welcomed by Kate and Chandra.
Out the front of the cafe there if a wonderful pool of fountains surrounded by silver Flamingos. Recommend a visit to walk around the Bay and call in this Cafe

Although many of the venues along this harbour are a bit pricey, several of them provide outstanding fine dining experiences and some are not even all that expensive. The menus and specials are usually posted at the entrances so no unpleasant surprises. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area. Some world class fine dining and drinking along that strip.

This is basically an extension area just below Darling Harbour bridge overlooking the marina. A short stretch of walkway offering restaurants, cafes, bars, nightclubs & entertainments.

We visited during Vivid.

Due to the demolishing of The Harbourside Centre this is the only waterfront area of restaurants at Darling Harbour.

Its just a small wharf area with several restaurants and bars.

Another great location in Darling Harbour with a plethora of dining establishments, bars and entertainment venues and the Marina. Easily accessed from the escalators and lift from Pyrmont Bridge. Great promenade affording stunning views of the waterfront.

It has everything: museums, children's attractions, bars, restaurants, a promenade, a park reserve, wharf to bring you to various destinations in Sydney. There's a variety of things to do, places to visit and see, and the best of all is its location right in the heart of a beautiful city.

We don't usually venture over to Cockle Bay Wharf as its mainly restaurants and Darling Harbour meets our dining needs

We did however this time dine at Blackbird at this wharf, with friends.

It has lovely views towards Darling Harbour.

One can reach here either by walking around from Darling Harbour or via the Pyrmont Bridge.

Now, we only visited during night time, the colorful surroundings, the bay, the atmosphere then the fireworks, was something really worthy. I’m sure if I visit it during the day will not be the same experience.
