If you want to visit Sydney make sure you have visited darling harbour at least once specially at nights and test very good restaurants at harbourside mall.

This area is ok, but not and special as I hoped, enjoyed many other areas more. Would put it down the list of must dos.

What a fun area of Sydney! Big variety of restaurants with beautiful views of the harbor. Can be a bit touristy, but still a fun area to walk around and have dinner.

It depends what your expecting but there are many better places in Sydney to invest your time in Darling Harbor is just another restaurant and shopping precinct go there if you have too but the Rocks will fill your appetite with similar offerings

The whole area is quite pretty. The harbour is great and just walking around is soothing. The large selection of restaurants makes it hard to choose, which is a good thing. Plenty to see.

Nice spot to visit but expect to pay $25 on average for a mains on any of the licensed premises along the boardwalk. Access via ferry from Circular Quay takes approximately 35 minutes and costs $6. Take the ferry to Barangaroo and you are there....More

There are tons of fabulous restaurants, a great aquarium (expensive but worth it, kids will love it) and touristy shopping (ie, I wouldn't go shopping here, you can get better for less elsewhere.) It's a fun day out, requiring good weather - it's a lot...More

I agree with first response, you can walk (30-40) min but take the ferry for the best views of the bridge. The bridge is adjacent to central Quay, darling harbour is further inland and bridge is not visible from there.
