Geoscience Australia is housed in a very interesting building in out-of-the-way Symonston. It contains a range of exhibits. Stop by the the Blackstone Cafe for a snack or lunch.

Geoscience does guided tours a few times each year but they book out fast. You get to see behind the scenes and some amazing collections. The guides are very friendly and knowledgeable. There's fun elements too with a fossil lucky dip and make-your-own fossil chocolates...More

Fantastic hands on experience for a school group. The 3D theatre was a highlight. Microscopes and other equipment available for curious kids to explore our geology. A must do!
