TThe library is 'out of this world', shockingly beautiful. A real baroque gem! The church is impressive too, with lots of ecclesiastical treasures - paintings, painted walls and ceilings, objects, pews... There is a cafe too, serving a choice of wines (hardly ever will Czech...More

If you are passionate about architecture and/or church history, this is a must-see in this part of the Czech country. A beautiful historic church in a nice small town, that is also worth a short visit. Mind, at times, there might be numerous visitors there...More

The Broumov town itself is rather sad and so we were pleasantly surprised by the visit of this local monastery. There is so much history hidden here and hopefully some future as well. It was a nice change of pace from all the hiking and...More

Took the Cellar-to-the-attic tour and was amazed at how massive and seeped in history this place is. Totally worth a visit! Do not miss the adjacent gardens.

This was an ok visit made special by the organist being there and playing whilst we were in there. I was expecting alot more and to be honest was rather disapointed.

Broumov Monastery is a very nice place to visit, which is unfortunately not in a great condition. The place is huge and would merit major investment to restore. The owners are doing everything they can to improve the environment, which is noticeable. Every visitor should...More

We were there in time with minimum visitors and the guide could tell everything only for us, the place is one of the best what we have seen. Being there, it is a must! They have also a place with good coffee and sweets.

According to the monastery website (which is otherwise great), there should be a special tour with custumed guide at 10 a.m. We had a regular guide instead. The guide knew quite much, but has told us rather less. The library, church and especially refectory has...More
