About
Ceningan Divers is an eco-friendly, PADI 5 Star Dive Resort. We focus our services around 3 main ideology: Safety, sustainable business practices, and dedicated mentorship. We are the winner of the 2018 BlueGreen360 "Dive Operator of the Year" Award. Winner of the 2019 BlueGreen360 "Dive Resort of the Year" Award. And voted the 3rd Best Dive Resort in the world at the 2018 Dive Travel Awards. We offer daily guided fun dives, PADI courses of all levels, and snorkelling trips to near by world-class dive sites in the Nusa Penida Marine Protected Area. We have an in-house marine biologist who conduct daily workshops on various topics including manta, mola, turtles and coral reef. We are located 500 meters on the left side of the Yellow Bridge near the pristine mangroves of Nusa Ceningan at Ceningan Resort. Our facilities includes a full service PADI 5* operation with our own bar, restaurant, lounge, 2 pools, several boats, and 8 traditional Bungalows. Come explore off the beaten path!

We did 12 dives with Ceningan Divers while staying at the attached resort. The divemasters were truly the best we've ever dove with, and the reefs were some of the most active and alive we've seen. If you're looking for an incredible team to dive with in Ceningan-- this is it!
We've been chasing Manta Rays for years and finally dove with them at Manta Point-- woo hoo! On our dives, we spotted manta rays, several octopi, colorful mantis shrimp, turtles, sting rays, a cool sea snake, giant tuna, eels and more, plus incredible amounts of fish, including several giant schools.
The equipment is in excellent shape, and as a Green Fins resort, their commitment to protecting the reef is impressive. We even got to do a "clean up dive" -- picking up trash from a popular dive/snorkeling spot. It was a lot of fun, and we got to help restore the reefs that were bringing us so much joy: it was actually one of my favorite dives!
We've been diving in 6 countries, and these were the best dive masters we've ever dove with: Angga, Vita, Dave & Lea. Their passion, excitement, natural ability and calm assertive energy were perfect. We felt super safe and trusted them completely. When our son is old enough to learn to dive, we plan to come back to Ceningan Divers so he can learn from the best.

Had such a lovely holiday at Cenigan resort - the diving was incredible and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone to stay and dive at this resort.

I originally booked in for 3 nights to do a Padi training course and ended up cancelling my other hotel and staying for a week it was so enjoyable. Everyone at Ceningan Divers from the owners to the bar staff, dive instructors and other guests were so friendly and easy to get along with that I could have stayed for a month.
Ceningan Divers is great for dive trips and we were almost always the first boat on location each morning meaning we always had a chance to get down and start exploring before it was too crowded.
Cozy, eco friendly rooms with open air but private showers.
I will definitely be returning in the future

We had a great experience with Cenigan Divers - easy booking and so wonderful to have everything organised for you, including transfers. David went out of his way to rearrange things so we could come for the full dates we wanted and when our plane was delayed by 4 hours there was no difficulty in changing our transfer. The cabins are lovely - big comfy bed and good outdoor shower room. Lovely to be able to dive right from their private jetty and the guides were all fantastic. Food and bar were great too, easily catering to us vegans. Highly recommend!

We snorkeled for three days with Ceningan Divers and had a great time. David and Lea run a very professional operation and have friendly/helpful staff. And, critically, the kitchen churns out great food. Highly recommended.

My fiancé and I had some of the best memories of our life with the Ceningan team! Lea and David warmly welcomed us to the beautiful little resort and the entire staff was extremely hospitable our entire stay. The thatch room bungalows were clean and perfectly comfortable for our stay. The food was amazing! Arii and team fixed up delicious drinks. And of course the dive gear, locations, and staff were absolutely top notch. Some of the best in the world and if you plan on heading towards SE Asia and Indonesia, definitely reach out to the Ceningan Divers team and make a trip to stay and dive with them.

My partner and I spent one month with Ceningan Divers for a PADI dive master course. I have been diving for 10 years all around the globe, and this is the best dive center I stayed with. There is great education, very professional staff and awesome facilities. Respecting the environment and each guest's wishes and abilities are the main priority here, which is rare. Having done more than 40 dives with them, I feel like I can tell you from my heart: this is the place to go. I cannot recommend more.

Thank you so much for the great review Luis, both you and Laura did so amazing in your divemaster course and it felt like family was leaving us when you had to go. We hope to see you soon back down in Indonesia for some fun diving.
P.S you can tell Laura that her map was so good (and yours, but we had to choose) that it is the dive map online for Manta Bay the Crack ;)

Highly recommend these guys! Incredibly professional dive shop with a wonderful emphasis on taking care of the marine environment, our first introduction to Green Fins. They have a really convenient set up with the boat docked at the villas. The diving was incredible. With cooler currents in that region has beautiful coral and of course diving Manta point is one of the all time favourites. Dave knew exactly where to take us to get the ultimate manta experience, one of our favourite dives of all time. The villas are great as well, clean and comfortable. Also have to give their chefs credit, food was incredible. We had chosen Al a carte option but ended up eating most meals at the resort as there were so many great options. We have gone diving with a few operators in the region, these guys are a cut above!

How often do you visit the Manta sites, weather permitting and assuming that all of the divers are appropriately certified ? I hope to visit in February.

We head out as often as we can depending on the weather. As long as the swells are below 1.5m we can dive the south side. This gets affected by the wind and the lunar cycle. If you would like to email us directly with your tentative dates, we can look at options. We normally select the best dive sites based on our guests' level, goals and weather conditions. Hope this answers your question.

If we do the AOW learn and stay package with you guys, will we need to complete the coarse before we can dive Crystal Bay or a similar location in hopes of seeing sunfish? Trying to plan how many nights to stay on the island. Thank you!

Nusa Ceningan (Penida/Lembongan) is a fantastic place to do your open water diver course.
You can check the description, available options at our website (PADI courses).
Also, have a look at the packages as that might be the most comfortable option.
