Because of its size there are quite a number of entry points to soak up this river habitat or daily exercise regimes of walking, running or cycling Some spots have developed parkland(grassed) with picnic facilities, playgrounds etc

The park is the largest of eight regional parks within the Perth metropolitan areas in swan Australia . Covering around 6 km of canning river ending at Shelley bridge.

Lovely place to set off on a short paddle up the river Water is peaceful It is an easy paddle and lovely surroundings Give it a go

Appropriate venue for work lunch meetings, they make good coffee. Situated at a nice park where you can take a good walk adds to the versatility of the venue. They had baskets of blankets there which is a good option for winter.

This is a lovely spot by the Canning river with a number of walking tracks over flat land. Take a picnic and dine by the Kent Street weir or have a light meal at the cafe. Can get quite crowded at peak times in holidays...More

We went on a Kayak tour down the Canning River . Beautiful location and lots of birdlife. Very easy paddling and would highly recommend

I regularly come to this park, best time is in the afternoon or early morning for jogging. Parkrun also held here every saturday morning start at 8am. There are many choices for kids or family activities, it has playground for kids, kayak or canoe launch...More
