Ability to view the bridge is restricted to parking on the Paringa side in a park where you could either continue to enjoy the park-lands or walk under the bridge to a vintage machinery museum. Bridge itself has historical significance, but no information is provided...More

The Paringa Bridge is a short drive from Renmark and is one of 4 along the Murray River. The lift span still opens to allow the river traffic to pass along the river. Very interesting to watch.

If in Renmark it is fascinating to watch the bridge open to allow boats to pass under. It occurs twice a day 9.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. but a booking must be made.

We traversed this bridge several times whilst staying in a nearby caravan park. With a 30 km per hour speed limit, you get to have a bit of a look, even when you’re driving. It is very quaint and cute and enables road access from...More

We visited the bridge while staying in Renmark. It was interesting to see how quickly it rose and how efficiently the boats were ushered through. Happens at 9.30 and 2.30. Don’t be late though.

Beautiful place to stop and watch the bridge opening at 0930 and 1430 daily. You are able to walk over the bridge and walkways will take you into Renmark. I highly recommend taking the time to stop and unwind.

A nice place to stop the car and watch the bridge go up and let boats through. You need to check that you are there at the right times as this only happens twice each day. This is helpful if you want to be there...More

It depends on when it needs to lift. It happens when a large boat needs to pass underneath. Once or several times a day. Never at night.
