We visited this after Miag-ao church. It is smaller and less grand. It just pales in comparison to the church in Miag-ao. We stayed only for a few minutes.

We wanted to visit the Church, but we were not able to get in as it was closed on a Saturday. We took photos outside the church, but had to leave as it was too hot.

The Guimbal Church looks it has been through tough times, Despite its beautiful front and its solid side walls, the interior is simple with its new roof and altar.

The Tigbauan, Guimbal and Miagao churches should all be visited when you are in Iloilo City. A taxi or other trip is reasonably priced and these old Spanish churches are all lovely and represent a past that is long gone.
