First it's the road from Yerevan with an unbelievable view of Mt Ararat, if you are lucky with weather. Then the gorge with its stunning beauty. Then the monastery, its history, its solemn position, and breathtaking mountain range that surrounds it.

We spent over an hour at the monastery. Such a perfect setting for such a pretty building. Different from all angles. Perched on the side of a mountain. You can park nearby. Just a wonderful building in a perfect location.

Most of the road will be covered by a car. You need to walk about 2 mins to reach the church. The road is very lovely and it's a must see place. Go for it!!
