As the title says.A wonderful place to visit when you travel to Manchester. Apart from the high quantity of arms, devices, uniforms and artifacts used in wars where the British army was involved there are also many videos projected on the walls of the museum.

Not a stuffy old museum, surprisingly enjoyable for all ages. Visited with grandparents and my two 8yr old children. We all found the exhibits and war stories very interesting. My children particularly enjoyed trying on the army clothes and gun belts. The staff were very...More

Visited the museum early March and while it's a striking building the content does not provide what I thought an immersive museum is experience should be. The entrance is very accessible and there is a shop and a cafe which serves cakes and soup/snacks. The...More

This is well worth a couple of hours of your time in Manchester. It’s a lovely contemporary building with some excellent displays. If you follow the ‘route’ you will go through a journey of conflict from WW1 onwards to the present. Although the main space...More

A visit to see the 'Lest We Forget' exhibition and it did not disappoint. Very informative and emotional from many different points of view. Everything paid tribute to those to whom we owe so much !

We took our year 5 and 6 children here for the day. We weren’t disappointed, it is packed full of information and the volunteers were very passionate. There were also veterans to talk to which our children loved. The children did the tv channel challenge...More

To view properly, a fulĺ day. Depends on how interested you are in the subject. My husband is ex forces so was very interested and felt he could have spent more time there. For me, half a day was enough.
