The clean, neat museum has excellent displays of early days on the island. The section on the paleontological discoveries was most informative. Having a local art show on display was an added bonus!

This museum is very well kept and has interesting and attractive displays portraying the history of the area. Lots of interesting artifacts and stories, including a pioneer log home and ancient First Nations stone implements from the local area. A worthwhile stop, right on Highway...More

The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are multiple exhibits including one of the local family who have the last name "BATMAN". They can say "I am BATMAN" and actually mean it! There were a lot of old articles such as clothing, furniture, military...More

the museum has out buildings that have period furnishing, I took us 2 hours to go through, have some good artifacts
