Starts in awesome fo a hundred or so yards then disappoints-closed signs that stop any progress. It looks like people go around. Nasty restrooms at these place-too bad it has massive potential to be awesome.

Great trail. One of my favorite experiences of our trip around northern california. Loved that it felt like an actual hike compared to much of those in PA. Redwoods are amazing.

We did the six-mile loop on Christmas morning and it was just spectacular. It's pretty much straight up the first half of the hike, then straight down. A moderate-to-difficult hike depending on your fitness. You walk through redwoods, beautifully maintained paths, then meadows, then a...More

Hiked this trail in about 3 hours. When we got to the fork, we went clockwise. Strenuous ascent but the views at the top were amazing. Bring camera, snacks and plenty of water of course! ;)

Love to hike inside the wilderness. The weather is quite comfortable in the middle of hot summer. It offers quite challenging hiking path for beginners, but it's still fun to explore 👍

Arrive early and find a parking space on highway 1. You can park inside the park by paying a 10 dollar fee. We arrive around 10:00 on a beautiful Saturday morning. The parking lot is pretty small. Lots of folks were able to park on...More
