We didn’t spend a lot of time at this private zoo as we were on a tight schedule, but it was a pleasant stop to stretch our legs and use the facilities, and it was very exciting walking around one of the enclosures and seeing...More

Reserve Peyreiras Long travel for nothing. The distance from town is 71 km and it took us 2.5 hrs to get there. When arriving we longed for a cold drink, but no, that was not for sale. KSHs 20 000 p.p. pluss 5000 for the...More

We took a brief stop at this private, home spun zoo on our way from Antananarivo to Andisabe. Well worth the stop. You can see many of the odder snakes, bats, chameleons and frogs up close. It was very enjoyable. You won’t be there long...More

We first went to the Reserve in 2013 and were fascinated with the extraordinary collection of (mainly) chameleons, but also frogs, geckos bats and many other animals. So in October 2017 we went back, and were certainly not disappointed. Photo opportunities abound, and although the...More

This is a small reserve at the "door" of Antananarivo. It has a very rich collection of animals of Madagascar. You may spot some lemurs with the longest circuit and the shortest circuit is only for reptile i.e mainly snakes and chameleon

Many different colors, sizes, and types of chameleons. Watch their tongues unfurl with lightning speed to feed on crickets. Leaf-tailed geckos, tree frogs, bats, boa, and a crocodile. Habituated sifakas and common brown lemurs within an arm's distance away. Convenient stop on the way to...More

A very interesting visit and excellent opportunity for experiencing a large variety of chameleons from close by and taking pictures of them. Unfortunately it is a little bit in a sorry state after one of the recent cyclones.
