Very very close so I suggest you do both on the same trip. The place is nice and they even made nice walking trial (safe). You could stay for 30 min walk around, smell, see hot air coming out of the Furnas. Nice detour even...More

The whole walking experience only takes about 20 minutes but it’s an interesting experience if you are passing nearby. Almost no-one else there when we went.
