It's a nice place to visit but be aware of the road. Will i suggest people to go there, maybe, as long as you do not mind the road. The place it self could have been upgraded some.

To start off if you want to go there i would recommend you to bring your own transportation as the travel would take an hour from Dumaguete City. Cons: 1.The road from the main road is bumpy and takes around 9km. Road is not yet...More

Let me start this review with a warning that old people may not be able to take the transportation from the foot of the mountain to the lake. Since we didn't have a car, the only way to travel was habal-habal, a single motorcycle (php50/pax)....More

Lake Balanan is a quaint, well-preserved nature park as compared to many parks in the Philippines where tourism facilities often spoil the Earth's wonder. It is also a convenient side trip when you are visiting Dumaguete. Customer service need to be upgraded though. The staff...More

Took a side trip here when first visiting Dumaguete. Well worth the drive — the lake is beautiful with a walking trail as well as a restaurant and hotel (we didn't try either of these). About an hour from Dumaguete along some pretty rough roads.
