The mosque stands back from the road at Biddiya (spellings on maps and signage varies, so be warned). It has unique architecture and apparently dates back to the 14th century. It is not open to non-Muslims, so don't try to get in if you are not of the faith. You can see the outside of the building from the gate. It is worth a stop if you are in the Khor Fakkhan area, and also for the views of the mountains from the watch tower on the promontory behind it.

Situated in the beautiful Emirate of Fujairah , with a small fort on a hill as a backdrop, its said to have been built by the followers of the holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) more than 500 years ago or so, and is claimed to be the most ancient mosque in the UAE.

Very small, with a central pillar, and space for about 10 people for prayer, it is a unique mosque. We loved it as it is symbolic of the need to build a place for bedouins to perform their prayer, way back in the ancient times, and conveys the spirituality more than the modern mosques boasting of materialistic beauty.

An absolute visit , both for the mosque and the Emirate of Fujairah.

We enjoyed this day of our visit the most during our stay, as we covered 5 Emirates on that day,in the presence of a very special Emirati , who took much pride in showing us the real beauty of the UAE.

It is one of the old mosque in UAE/Fujairah. Located between khor fakkan and dibba; having ample parking space to visit the mosque and nearby sites. Must visit place

Inspired by a photo of the Al Badiyah mosque, we saw in the Museum of Islamic Civilisation in Sharjah, we got in our car and drove to Al Badiyah. It is easy to find and parking was easy as well. We spent an our there, it was a beautiful visit.

The drive through the mountains is quite impressive, the colourful stalls with all the fruits.. It was one of the best day trips in the UAE

Al Badiyah Mosque is a small mosque yet full of history, and it's very different from the mosques you see anywhere in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. It's a refreshing place with such great view of the sea and the surroundings of Fujairah. It is easy to locate and can be seen immediately since it is only situated along the road. For tourists, remember to drop by their office to borrow Abaya cloak before going inside the mosque.

This small, ancient mosque, was once surrounded by an important city on the Gulf of Oman. It's now a tiny doorway into that so-different time and place. The design is unique, its history is famed (oldest mosque in the region), and it's also fun to see it from the two towers that remain on the ridge behind it. Strangely reverent and powerful.

Small but full of history. Simple mosque that is situated on top of hill area. The mosque is still being used currently. It's the oldest mosque in the UAE.

This was ok.
This was visited as part of a greater tour. There was a level of interest but not sure it is worth going to on its own.
