This bar has a tremendous history which the locals who frequent it are more than happy to explain. It is the oldest bar and has a great 'local' atmosphere. Views are superb and it is very popular with local people as well as tourists throughout the year. In good weather one can sit out and enjoy the sun going down as well as the atmosphere of the ferry terminal. the interior is well decorated with fishing and boat paraphernalia and is well worth taking in. Overall a great and popular 'local' pub with atmosphere. Prices are great too.

The oldest and most famous bar on the island. Before you go - it's a proper bar, not a restaurant. A lot of people who drink here are local and it still has an original feeling, which I hope it never loses. People enjoy the views of the harbour at the rear and it's a popular stop off point for travellers on the ferries. The brothers have run the bar for many years, very successfully, and they are both really nice guys. Many happy times here - thanks guys !

I hope the man running this place never changes a thing. Absolutely wonderful pub and bar with old school, authentic charm. Solid choice of local beers and an excellent selection of spirits. Magnificent views of the harbour. This will be one of my favourite memories of my trip to Malta.

Absolutely the rudest staff I've ever encountered. Walked in last night, our first night in Gozo, at 10.45, & the lady couldn't even say hello, just last orders. So ordered 2 drinks, & sat outside when the owner came up clapping, saying it's closing. He then lifted my can of Magners, & asked was I finishing it. I honestly have never, ever seen such a bad attitude.
We went next door, to a wonderful bar who at least was welcoming.
I would never, ever go back to The Gleneagle or I certainly wouldn't recommend it.

The is a stones throw from the port and an ideal place to have a few drinks whilst you take in the view of the sea and the boats coming and going.
We had the pleasure of being served by the owner and he was very friendly and made the effort in making our drinks. There were four of us and we all had different drinks and they were all presented well. The pimms and the Aperol Spritz looked and tasted amazing. The prices were also good, so good we stayed for a few more!

We arrived at the port very early for our ferry back to Valletta and we were glad we did.
Gleneagles is an absolute gem of a pub with a fantastic view of the harbour below.
€16 for 4 drinks - make great Aperol Spritz.

We were waiting for our ferry to Valetta and decided to have a drink at this bar. Well, I can't say anything about the food, but the beer during the sunset on the balcony (overseeing the harbour of Mgarr) of this bar was everything that counted. Give it a try!

Had a beer here waiting for the evening ferry. Perhaps because of Covid restrictions it seemed to lack character, which surprised me. Perfectly nice though in many ways.

Visited here for a pint of Guinness after a day of touring Gozo. Owner very friendly & polite. My boyfriend had a great chat with him about fishing & the photos on the walls. We sat out the back & the views were just breathtaking. Would definitely recommend. We will be back !!
