Spiritual Place to connect with Almighty.
Wishes came true in Oct 22 when we went to visit a spiritual place known as Kainchi Dham,it is located close to Bhowali ,near Naintal and is the place where Baba Neem Karoli set up a Temple in 1964 for worshiping lord Hanuman and this place holds immense significance for devotees of Baba. It's a holy temple surrounded by hills and trees and river flowing besides it. and offers a serene and peaceful environment that is conducive to meditation and introspection. You can feel the great strengths and presence of Hanuman Ji in the Ashram. This place has achieved recognition owing to the ashram of the famous Neem Karoli Baba. The scenic location adds to the beauty of the place.

Feel the divine presence of Lord Hanuman and Neem Karoli Baba at the Ashram
Kainchi Dham is a famous Hanuman Temple & Ashram which is established by a great Saint Shri Neem Karoli Baba in 1960s. The place offers a perfect combination of nature’s beauty and spirituality. Surrounded by mountains and forests with a river flowing alongside, Kainchi Dham is a heaven for people who seek peace and calm. You can feel the divine presence of Lord Hanuman and Neem Karoli Baba at the ashram. Babaji left His physical body in the night of 10th September, 1973. The Kalash containing His ashes was already installed in Shri Kainchi Dham. A sacred cave, where Baba Neem Karoli is believed to have prayed, is also a popular attraction. It also provides accommodation facilities to visitors who want an immersive experience. Steve Jobs, Ex-CEO of Apple Inc in 1973 and later Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook visited here in search of peace, meditated at the ashram and went back enlightened. We visited the Dham on 8th Sept., 2023, next day to Krishna Janmashtami. It was very crowded there at entrance of temple. One has to remove shoes before entering the Temple. Photography by camera or mobiles is not allowed inside. Devotees were allowed to go in a queue to have Darshan of Idols of Saints and Gods. Religious books were there; one can buy them. Lastly we were offered Prasadam. The whole visit ended in 20 minutes. Due to hundreds of devotees, we were not able to spend more time here. I will like to go again and spend more time.

    Great
Kaichi Dham is a beautiful spot in the hills where you can relax and enjoy nature. It's peaceful and great for hiking. But some people leave trash there, which makes it less nice. We should keep it clean for everyone to enjoy.

Quiet place with a nice atmosphere. It has been maintained very nicely. Apart from the Dham itself, I also recommend visitors to enjoy the Lemon-Soda with Chutney usually sold outside on the road. Nice place on a sunny day in winters.

During our 5-day Nainital tour coinciding with our 54th Marriage Anniversary, we also visited Kainchi Dham among other tourist attractions. Kainchi is the Hindi meaning of scissors. this is in fact an ashram adjoining the Lord Hanuman temple built by a famous and revered monk, Baba Neem Karoli in 1960. It is situated in between two hills making a shape of scissors or Kainchi (in Hindi). A river flows beside the temple and hills rising on all sides. Thus the place offers excellent view on all sides. It is located at a distance of about 18km from the Nainital bus stand on Haldwani road. To reach there, one has to cross a small bridge on the river overlooking the temple. Besides, the temple of main deity, Hanuman, there is a room where Baba Neem Karoli used to stay. The ashram also has a shop selling religious books besides many shops on the road selling variety of sweets. The whole place is clean and very well maintained. This ashram was first visited by Steve Jobs, the co founder of Apple of USA in 1970s. He is known to have meditated here and later in 2008, Mark Zuckerberg, the co-founder of Facebook also visited this ashram. Of late Famous cricketer, Virat Kohli accompanied by his actress wife Anushka Sharma also came here thus making it more popular. There is another temple of Lord hanuman established by Baba Neem Karoli, which is just 3km away from Nainital. It is popularly known as Hanumangarhi, which was also visited by us. Photography is not allowed inside the temple campus.

Amazing place on the foot hills of Himalayas, along the temple a beautiful river flows. The temple consist of Takhat and a blanket where Maharaj ji use to sit. Somwari Maharaj ji ki dhooni, Maharaj ji ka Mandir, recently built a very beautiful temple of Siddhi Ma, Hanuman ji Ka mandir(Murti of Hanuman ji is very beautiful), ram sita ji temple, Vaishnav devi temple and Shankar ji kar temple. With Maharaji's blessing, I visited the temple of the auspicious day of Makar Sankranti. If you happen to visit Kainchi Dham then also Visit Karkri Ghar. Its 40mins drive from Ashram and a highly recommended place for the people who are visiting Kainchi for spiritual reasons. Temple timings are - winters 7am to 6pm and summers 6am to 7pm. There is a morning and evening Aarti.

I was visiting Almora and on the way passed through Kainchi dham. I visited the place with a lot of interest as for the first time i heard about Neem Karoli Baba. Liked the place, though spent very less amount of time. As winter was setting on, it was cold and i saw lot of people sitting and doing prayers. Good place to visit specially for devotees.

Lovely place ;lucky ,there was less and well behaved crowd on a Monday forenoon, the temple staff was strict , the place was kept clean and tidy .... Once you finish , there are hawkers outside selling all the takeaways.... FOr genuine reading material buy it from the temple /ashram complex. The staff behind the counter are friendly although slightly overworked !!!!!
Walk along the road to get a feel of nice and Noisy hamlet.
Sainik resturant is worth a visit for its Veg and Moong dal pakodas.

This is a peaceful, serene place around 25 Kms from Nainital. It has become more popular after social media buzz about the visit of Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg to this Temple. Food points outside the temple are economical. There are very few stay options available, so you can stay at Nainital or Bhimtal and pay a same day visit with a Taxi or tourist buses.
