We booked a tour and tasting including tapas. Natalia was a fabulous host! Thank you so much for a great day at Huerta de Albala! After the tour of the winery, we had a sit down tasting of about eight wines and tapas. We left with a trunk full of fantastic wines.

This was an unexpected stop due to bad weather one day last week in Arcos. I had no expectations and was very pleasantly surprised!! We visited the winery on Thanksgiving with friends. The winery is beautiful. The best part of the tour was our host, Natalia. She was engaging and funny. We enjoyed the wine and conversation! We are enjoying the magnum as I write this.

We had previously tasted the red and white Barbezul wines in a restaurant in Cadiz (and subsequently in Torreguadiaro near Sotogrande), so had wanted to visit the Bodega for a while. We chose to take the mountain route from Sotogrande, which was very beautiful, but rather slow (and not for anyone who gets car sick on winding roads). We also overshot, by overeliance on the Sat Nav! We returned via the motorway, which was quicker and easier. The tasting was carefully tutored by our guide Natalia and we very much enjoyed our visit. The wines were excellent, and we purchased 6 bottles for consumption later in our holiday. Natalia was able to recommend somewhere for lunch in Arcos de la Frontera, and even phoned ahead to book for us. She was also able to give us the contact details of a stockist in the UK, which we hope to contact in due course. Our only criticism was that the tour was quite expensive and only crackers were provided to eat. Very generous amounts of wine were available, but that was a bit hard on the poor driver! perhaps some cheese and ham with bread would help to neutralise the alcohol.…

Was guided around the estate by an enthusiastic lady who told us all about the making of the Estate's wines. The tour ended with tasting of three of their wines: Barbazul white, Barbazul Red and Taberner (Red Wine). Excellent tour and excellent wine, would recommend a visit if you are close to Arcos de la Frontera.…
