It's a beautiful place made in 8 year 10 months and 28 days and many little know that its used by Jahangir for 1 night stay before going to Lahore attack where he died. It's actually gift from Bir Singh to him

Its as beautiful as Orchha with a lot less people and crowds. About an hour from Orchha stands the Palace of Bir Singh. It has 7 floors and is a fusion of Mughal and Rajput architecture. Do visit when in Datia you won't be disappointed.

The scale of the place is huge. It's still beautiful and not in bad shape but many rooms are closed. There are 420 rooms so you still see a lot. If you are interested in architecture you should not miss it.

It is a shame that such an exquisite piece of architecture does not figure on the MP tourism trail. While Orchha is touted much for its architecture and history, this location though on the Gwalior - Jhansi route remains obscure and neglected. A lone ASI...More

After having looked round the over visited palaces of Orchha, exploring Bir Singh Palace was a relaxing treat. This is definitely off the tourist map, not because it doesn't have lots to offer the visitor, but because it is pretty inaccessible. The palace is visible...More

Bir Singh Deo Palace fort is looking very good. Needs maintenance . Now is open up to 5th floor. Roads towards main gate is narrow. Government should take care to preserve the monuments. There is a lake behind the fort.
