Krishnagiri Fort is one of the strongest forts in the Krishnagiri district and is now one of the monuments protected by the Archaeological Survey of India. The fort was built by King Krishnadevaraya of the Vijayanagar Empire.

Chanced upon the fort, while stopping on the way to Tirupati..the fort is assumed as Tipu Sultan's and there is a mosque..not very famous as it is in Vellore, a place nearby.
