Many great spots to meditate here. It is a real pilgrimage site for people. I did see more westerners here than anywhere else in my travels through India.

Ultimate place at Arunachlam Shiva for seekers. The energy of Ramana Ashram changes you for ever but you need to surrender yourself before seeking.

I was fortunate enough to go here twice in my maiden visit to Tiruvannamalai. Spent some good amount of time in evening @ bhagvan's samadhi; the place is like you dont need to put effort for meditation. You get connected with innerself without extra efforts....More

Visited on Karthigai Deepam morning to Shiva Lingam shrine cum temple. Witnessed Shiva Lingam abishegam. After meditating for awhile, visited book shop.

Hi, Raman Ashram is open from 5am to 9pm. The main hall is closed from 12-2 or 3pm for rest and cleaning. Please go to their website for Sanskrit and Tamil prayers. please google in sri ramana maharshi for website link... More
