Ancient temple with Hoysala architecture. Near to Bangalore. Best time to visit is winter. Hanging pillar is a major attraction. Pretty cool inside the temple, even though it's damn hot outside.

I had heard about a temple with a hanging pillar in Lepakshi and decided to check it out. The pillar didn't really amaze me too much but the temple is grand with a massice Nagalingam and amazing sculptures.

At location dont expect anything great. Average snack shops biscuits and juice maybe. When coming from Bangalore, stop by at the junction where you need to take Left for Nandi Hills. Thats a decent place to break for food.
