This is a Temple of Bishnupur which still belongs to the Maharaja's Family. This place is noted for its Durga Puja. The temple is nice and located on the road leading to Tourist lodge from the large Stone Gate..

Good to visit if you go first time to Bishnupur. Photography is not allowed inside the temple. Nice idol of Durga Idol made by Malla King Jagat Malla on 997 AD.

The temple is just like most other village temples as there is nothing speacial about it to make it a tourist spot as such. It was a waste of time for me visiting the site.

Nice and peaceful place surrounded by a lot of historical buildings and temples. A must visit if you are in the area.

This is also part of the many Poda-mati ( burnt-earth) tiled temples in Bisnupur tourist circuit. A local guide available at most hotels will take you to all the temples and give a good history of each site. Without a guide all temples look alike...More
