Happened by chance to visit this museum on our way to Jamshedpur . Glad we made the stop . Gustav showed us around and his father Mr Bullu Imam was a very interesting man . The museum itself was rich with tribal art and crafts . Met Putli the world travelled tribal artist who kindly gave us one of her paintings .

We were privileged to spend a day with Bulu Imam and gt a personally guided tour of the museum. The grounds are sublime, the museum is very good and the artwork is stunning. Bulu Imam invited us to lunch and showed us a collection of art works he had not opened in 30 years. He is a living natural and national treasure, one of the most extraordinary people I have ever met.

Sanskriti Museum and Art Gallery is one of the most interesting places I have been. Keeping the culture of the Adivasi people alive has been a dedicated journey for this family, over three generations. Fascinating personalities supporting a fascinating culture!

Truly a labour of love maintained by a family who call themselves 'eccentric', in the best sense of the word. Justin Imam, who showed us around, deserves a special word of thanks. I plan to visit again with more time on my hands. Didn't know that the environs of Hazaribag held such treasures of ancient tribal art. I hope both the state and central governments take steps to patronize the museum and give it wide publicity.

the sanskriti museum and art gallery is a really good place to visit. we were in town to visit some relatives and all of us came up here one afternoon. It is about the tribal people of jharkhand. The gallery gives a good peek into their lifestyle and their cultures.
