My kids loved scrambling around the boulders. Great facilities including a restaurant with beer garden and kiosk. It’s a long way from the car park at the bottom to the top...so take your time and take on the scenery

If you are in the Odenwald, and near Reichenbach, plan for a stop at the Felsenmeer. There are trails and a nice park to explore these boulders that were put there by a volcano. Take a picnic lunch and a bottle of wine and enjoy...More

Take the kids out for a wild climb among the rocks of the Felsenmeer, see the remains of the roman column and the table, get acquainted with the story of the formation of the place and the two giants.

Not only are the boulders spectacular, they are also accessible enough that we could let our grandsons 12 and 13 just climb around on them--which they loved. There are very steep trails and less steep trails around the boulders for those of us too old...More

FELSENMEER is a blockfield (boulder field) with huge block sized rocks in all shapes and sizes lying around. This one is huge. It takes at least 30-40min to hike to the top at a quick pace. A more relaxed approach will take you up to...More
