Everyone is not allowed to enter dam, but one can enjoy the beautiful view of blue backwaters from a view point located in Ramanagar Road 5kms from Ganeshgudi.

It's a big dam. Nice views all around. surrounded by deep jungle. Also, if you go on the Ganeshgudi side, you will see a lot of birds, especially, Malabar Hornbills.

This is a quiet & decent place to spend a relaxed evening. Most people take a walk over the dam but there is a small road besides the dam gate the allows cars to go down until lake area.

We saw this from outside as walking on dam and access is restricted. The bridge right across Kali river offers a good view of the dam which is one of tallest dam in Karnataka
