Good improvement

Now reasonable paths for people to travel around the park and see much more than what was available.

We were doing the 19 km macedon ranges loop. I was looking forward to a nice lake as the route detours to include it. Nothing special, more of a dam. Not sure why someone made a path around the outside.

I love this walk and you always feel good after seeing such beauty ...The lake is very beautiful and tranquil I also love the Camel's Hump walk A bit more challenging but worth the view from the lookout at the top 👍

Sanatorium Lake is listed as being very reflective and it is but it's very small to be called a lake, more like a farm dam.

A nice walk, well worth doing. Good to see the lake, great for a picnic and very nice after a decent snowfall. Just need to be careful with young children.

A little piece of history and a great place to walk - it is a Sanatorium Lake. It is a man-made pond full of drinking water surrounded with a forest. Firstly it was made as a source of water for tuberculous sanatorium, but clinic closed...More

My relatives from Belgium just loved the walk, the bush, the trees, ducks paddling in the lake. They just loved the area. Only a short walk but the smell of the bush and natural bushland around the area was great.

My father and I went on a rainy/overcast/foggy/cloud type day, we descend down the muddy/wet path for about 200-300 meters from the Carpark. Wow! The sight of the lake was magic, have a look at the pic I've uploaded and you'll understand, it had this...More

Came across this lake while touring around the Macedon area. The lake is man-made and is accessed via Lions Head Road (a gravel road). A short and easy stroll (about 250 metres) from the main car park takes you to an information display and lake....More
