Went up during March, so it was pretty steep and can be challenging at times due to the snow. But it was worth it and the view from the top was spectacular. To get there, turn right at the Esso on the E10 and then...More

Thinking that Floya would be too much of a challenge, we chose to hike up Tjeldbergtind. It's classed a 1/4 but that's for Norwegians and their families who do this on a regular basis. If you're just an average walker/hiker, you would have no problems...More

It is exactly as "Thewoodygirls, Brooklyn, New York", described it. You can park at the gas station or a bit up the street. The beginning of the path is behind the firestation.

Nice hike close to Svolvær. From the top you have a nice view both towards Svolvær and Kabelvåg. . . . . . .

If you are in somewhat good shape, this hike will take no more than an hour to the top and gives you incredible views over the town of Svolvær, the surrounding mountains and the sea

Norwegians climb up there with their 2-year-olds in carrying devices on their back, but don't let that fool you, it's not easy. The path up is steep and rocky, you slip easily, and it is exhausting. Of cause, for the experienced outdoor fanatic or the...More

For starters it's one of the most spectacular views of the classic lofoten mountains perhaps in all of lofoten. However the hike up to get to it is definitely a difficult one which requires steep climbing. You don't need to b fit it just requires...More

If you are visiting Svolvaer and want to take a short and somewhat easy hike up a mountain, this is it. Easy acces and no climbing. Be aware though, if it's raining it might be a little slippery the last part.

I just hiked up Tjeldbergtind a few days ago. It was pretty steep for US standards and the snow made it difficult. Without the snow you should be fine, I think there's not that much snow then. But because of the polar night... More
