Really enjoyed just walking in and around the lake area. Lots of bird life. Great trees. Good parking. Really good visitors center with cafe and facilities.

I love this nature area is well kept and is just so peaceful when you are after a day of relaxing in nature. And after that visit the lovely cafe there the food and drinks are excellent. One of our favourite place.

This area is expecially great for long walks and viewing wildlife. The strategically situated viewing hides overlooking the lakes are a great place for birdwatching.

The oldest nature reserve in the Netherlands, that can best visited by a "whisper"-boat is home to a huge colony of Cormorants. Halfway the trip you can make an tour in the swampy area (comfortable path!) and see the carnivorous Sundew (also called Drosera). Take...More

Sunday is a perfect day for exploring the Naardermeer. Pack a pick nick and get on your bike, there are so many wonderful places to stop and enjoy the views and wildlife.

Thie lake is still unexpected for lots op people who live in the area. Strange , because it is a wonderful area with lots of different birds. Nce to make a guided tour by boat.
