In the summer months, it's nice to enjoy a sunny and _warm_ day on the lake Saimaa on a boat trip, or go to a picnic on the shore of Saimaa. But what do I think of the Saimaa Canal? You can hear a bit...More

I planned this trip my husband in mind, because he loves locks. We have to always go to check out locks if some are close by. And in Saimaa Canal has 8 of them, some up to 12 meters high. Super. We spent only three hours...More

It's enough stirring feeling when you see the passage of the ship through water gates for the first time in your life. Anyway you can't miss it if you decide to go by car or by bus through Russian (Brusnichnoye)-Finnish (Nuijamaa) border.

I´ve been visiting there several times. It´s easy to find many ways to spent few days in StPetersburg. Many museums and palaces to see. Food is good and cheap.
