It's an ok neighborhood, but it's a place for kids, there's everything from pharmacies to supermarkets. There are many restaurants but I advise against staying for those who want to sleep. It has a beach very close but certainly super crowded in summer.
In the evening the discos are always open, most of them are free but they really suck. Super commercial music, people smoke anything inside and they are full of kids or drooling old men.
If you are an 18 year old in the midst of a hormonal crisis I recommend it, otherwise move on.

I didn't go to any of the bars, restaurants or nightclubs. The excess noise coming from music in these places is quite annoying. Places seem to compete for the loudest music. Passing through it, however, is pleasant, especially at night when everything is lit up.

Paceville is lcated between the sandy St Georges Bay to the North and the small port in St Julians Bay to the South. There are two main centres in the district. The area north of Paceville Piazza leads steeply down to St Georges Bay and is where the main nightlife venues are located. Pedestrian alleyways are full of music, lights and bars and fast food for all tastes. The Bay Street Shopping complex is a multi level series of fashion shops and restaurants including Hard Rock Cafe.

The other main area is around Triq Ross and is the main bus transport centre with connections around the island including the airport. Frequent buses go to the Valletta centre bus station.

Paceville has plenty of good restaurants and accommodation ranging from the Intercontinental to good quality budget hotels.

Malta in general has become one of the worst, polluted and dirty places to visit! I will never recommend anyone to spend vacations in Malta and precisely to St. Julian’s paceville, strange and dirty place with garbage and horrible smell everywhere, the prices are high everywhere without any sense, the quality of services in general is not even decent, and absolutely not comparable to the money you spend. Speaking generally about hotels, restaurants or pools everything is absolutely not in line with the prices they are unpolite and absolutely unprofessional, they only care about money and they don’t offer decent service because they They rely only on the amount of people who go there.
I would also like to point out the car traffic and pollution, walking on the streets in all parts between Pieta, Msida, Gzira, Sliema, St. Julian's is absolutely dangerous because of the crazy drivers around the island, not to mention that in every single space of the promenades there is garbage, EVERY PART.
All tourist beaches are crowded and full of garbage, and the water is dirty because of people and garbage. In Malta they don't know what education is and the tourists who visit mostly kids think about drinking and littering, DON'T GO TO MALTA!

State alla larga da questo quartiere se avete da 20 anni in su!! It is populated by children aged 15 and 16. Horrible. Embarrassing. There is no corner where you can find decent people.

As I was staying in Sliema for my holiday in Malta, I wanted to check out Paceville as everyone was talking about it as *the* place to be Friday night.

Oh. My. God this place is a sh*thole, for several reasons.
On the 'strip' there are several types of establishments, but an overload of 'Gentleman's Clubs' AKA strip clubs. Outside there are below-average looking women literally grabbing you by the arm trying to drag you into the club, and convince you to buy them drinks.

Shady establishment after shady establishment. In between the Gentleman's Clubs there are a few nightclubs, with *huge* queues outside, I have heard of people waiting for two hours. The clientele seemed... suspiciously young. Fake IDs are rampant here.

I worked my way down and found a slightly more civilised bar in Hugo's Pub. Finally I could sit down, grab a drink without being disturbed - I thought.

Due to COVID one is not allowed to order by the bar, so you sit down at the time, scan the QR code and then someone will come and serve you.

I waited more than 10 minutes, no one came. I therefore left and went to another, similar establishment. Exactly the same happened.

Shocked by this hellhole of an uncultured place, I ordered a bolt back to Two Pillows. Drowning myself in the sea was tempting, but thankfully the taxi arrived quickly so I could leave this cesspool - never to come back.

We stayed in a gorgeous hotel in St Julians which was a 15 min walk from Paceville. We did walk down to Paceville at nights for food/drinks. Yes it is a crowded party area but it is only a few streets and totally avoidable if you don't want to experience that side of things. Having said that I would not have wanted to stay in a hotel in Paceville due to the noise levels/rowdiness at night but happy to visit it for a few hours entertainment. The rest of St Julians is quiet and peaceful. You can stay in St Julians and have a very peaceful quiet holiday without ever going near Paceville, it is just one small area of the resort.

If you are 18 to 24 this is the place to be anyone over 24 it is awfull. I have just come back from the Intercontinental Hotel in St. Georges., which was suppose to be a 5* hotel.Well it certainly was not. It was smack in the middle of the main street surrounded by fast food and takeaways. The streets were dirty and the place is so small and everywhere you look there are cranes and more buildings going up. This is the first time and the last time I shall visit this area.

If you like to be pushed and trampled in the street where is a lot of drunk people be my guest. If you are trying to go to the bar it will not end well. You can not hear anything and you will lose your friends. Awful place. Do not go alone if you are woman because there are several men who are looking for women who are alone and abuse them. Be super careful. Best not to go there at all. Nastiest and ugliest place in Malta.

Stumbled on this area whilst walking round St Julian's. Its definitely the most lively area with lots of bars/clubs/restaurants and takeaways and music thumping out. However there are also some nice bars for all ages. Its a fun area that you can dip you toe into for a lively night out. Generally most bars were really good value with a mix of all ages in some.

Thing that spoils it is the amount of lap dance/gentleman's clubs where women trying to drag you in [even if you are with your wife !]
