We stayed in Balluta Bay at the Marriott. It’s very picturesque! The little sandy beach is great to swim from as the bottom is sandy, free stones and kind to your feet! The water is shallow, clear and warm. There are plenty of great places to dine and drink at and the place comes alive at night. Very vibrant! We loved staying at the Marriott and the bay, beach and surrounding area are lovely.

The sea here was clean, no floating black bits like we had on other beaches. Small amount of beach area to sit on so I imagine it fills up quickly, but we managed to get a spot and were pleased to have visited. Lots of eateries nearby.

Fabulous area to stay in Malta. The view out over the bay is superb. Very clean and safe with a good range of places to eat and stay. There is a tiny beach, but then Malta is really about swimming off the rocks.

Nice small sandy beach in a small cove in St Julians Bay with an almost ampitheatre feel as there are a series of steps running nearly the full width so plenty of room to sit as this beach does get very busy as it's only a small beach. Beach itself is quite dirty with small pieces of litter and fag ends which is a shame as it's a nice cove with fairly shallow water to paddle out into.
Looks like a locals beach and more traditional as there are no beds or brollys so make sure you grab some shade as it was 40 degrees when we were there and there is no escaping it apart from the sea.
Beach is in a nice area just off the main promenade surrounded by old buildings. Enjoyed a few hours here

This bay is so nice! It is located near lots of hotels in Sliema and St Julian’s. There are lots of places to sit here and it is very peaceful.

It is my favourite bay in Malta and I will definitely come back here again!

Such a shame about rubbish , small beach could be lovely as the sea is stunning , at close look the beach is covered in ciggerete ends and rubbish , i cannot believe people leave so much rubbish , it would also only take 30 minutes to rake this beach each night

Such a shame it could be lovely

Very nice drive around here. We didn’t stop but lots of shops and restaurants. Would definitely be worth a visit. Hard to park though.

Wonderful little beach, with soft sand and crystal clear water. It is very small but very busy, it is almost impossible to lay the towel, but despite the many people who crowd it, the water remains transparent.
