Our centre is based within the grounds of the Westin Dragonara Resort in St Julian's leading towards the casino - a fabulous location which is underground in the old workshops that were built in the times of the Knights of St John and have lots of character....Made the best use possible of these beautiful features with a modern twist and have an office, reception, small shop area, kit room, compressor room and classroom - outside we have plenty of room with fabulous wash/dry/storage facilities, good seating and shaded areas with drinks and snacks machines - 50 meters walk to the sea pool and house reef

Divewise provides an excellent & comprehensive list of Diving courses & activities.
I completed my PADI Advanced training with Divewise before returning to continue with Speciality Courses. Having Dived on wreck sites across the globe, I would agree with most that Malta provides a perfect platform to further your competency by completing the Wreck Diver Course. Divewise delivered this training in conjunction with the Dry Suit & Enriched Air speciality courses. All delivered at their establishment in St Julians. My instructor, Mike, provided one on one training that was thorough yet engaging and fun to receive. Having Dived with many providers, I rate Divewise at the top of my favourites. Organised and well equipped for solo divers and large groups they provide a full service at very competitive rates. You really don't need to look elsewhere on the Island of Malta.

Excellent dive centre with first class facilities and friendly staff. Viv on admin is excellent and couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. The instructors we dealt with were very friendly and capable and we felt very safe in their hands. The dive sites we experienced were superb, especially the wrecks. We also got to try Nitrox as they are a certified centre and we will now pay a small amount extra for the theory in order to become fully qualified ourselves. My 11-year-old daughter tried her first dive experience and was looked after extremely well and made to feel completely at ease. Would thoroughly recommend this company to anyone coming to Malta.

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect with DivesWise.
Mike is a great chap and we had a great rapport. He is incredibly experienced and glides along under water without appearing to move!
We felt very safe and confident driving with Andy and Niko provided extra safety and amusement as he is also a great character.
All the equipment was in good condition. This is a major operation and everything is done right - safety first but without taking the fun away.
I would highly recommend this company and we will certainly be back again to dive with them.

The Divewise team are focused on customer services, excellent diving, flexibility, and fun. Recently completed 10 fantastic, distinctive dives, covering walls, reefs and lots of wrecks.
The other divers in the group had similar skills and knowledge, making for the great dives.

We have just returned from our trip to Malta and cannot sing Divewise’s praises enough.
After beginning an open water course on holiday in Summer 2021 I realised I needed to move at a slower pace. I attended a discover scuba course at Scuba Leeds and completed my confined water skills/dives in a pool. I was recommended Divewise to complete my open water skills/dives.
Viv’s communication was excellent when I first enquired and she made the process super easy and straightforward even offering hotel recommendations.
My course was lead by JR and from day one he made me feel completely at ease and safe. He took the time to find out what happened during my last course and what I was nervous about and I felt I could totally trust being taught by him. All the training was brilliantly delivered and constructive feedback was given in a professional way to help me improve. JR answered all of my questions and kept me calm and reassured during all my dives and most importantly made sure I enjoyed myself. All of the Divewise staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The dive centre is a fantastic place to learn and develop, though my experience is limited, it’s the best place I could have chosen.
I will definitely return and dive again with Divewise.

Great service! I visited Divewise with my club (party of 12) in November 2022 for some end-of-season diving. They could not have looked after us better. The shop is super-organised with individual storage for each diver's kit. Nitrox was included and the dive guides were very knowledgeable and competent, leading us around wreck, wall and reef dives. The team goes the extra mile and I hope to return.

I am currently getting back to where I was post-Covid, having got to CCR Mod 2 Full Cave. I have been on various trips to get myself back up to where I was.
If you want to come to Malta (or anywhere else for that matter) and dive, be it from Open Water to CCR Mod 3 or want to do some guided dives at your current level I would highly recommend Divewise.
A great group of instructors offer everything from Discover Scuba Diving though CCR Mod 3/IDC (Techwise is the technical arm of Divewise, though both share the site).
Good facilities and have all kit to hire; tanks, wings, scooters.
Great wreck sites which can be approached either as a single tank diver or in most cases as one long dive w e.g. a stage.
I have not even explored what is possible w a rebreather, etc but I suspect I will be coming back again multiple times in the coming years.

A very well run centre in a great location. Vivian was excellent in communicating even before I arrived in country, but she went above and beyond when I asked if it was possible to dive the beaufighter one morning. Not an easy task with the amount of people, but Viv managed to sort an early morning dive with just me and the dive leader and it turned out to be my favourite dive to date. The shuttle services went smoothly and all the staff are fantastic. I hope to return as soon as I can!

This was our second trip to Malta for scuba-diving and as we stayed somewhere different this time, we needed to find a different scuba operator. I picked the two closest to our hotel and sent the same email to see what response I would get. Not only was Viv’s response the fastest (8 minutes), it was the most personalised and informative. We exchanged a few more emails and decided for DiveWise in the end.
The reception at the dive base was just as personal as the emails had been. Viv took care of us and assigned us to a dive guide for our first day of diving. The first dive was on their house reef which wasn’t terribly exciting, but it was good to have an easy dive to start with. This was followed by a dive on the Tug 2 which is DiveWise’s “house wreck”. We had short transfer in the RIB and enjoyed our exploration of the wreck while our dive guide Jasper looked after some beginners (he always kept one eye on us as well!).
When we arrived, we had told Viv which sites we would really love to see, and they organised two fantastic days of diving for us. The first day we went to the two wrecks near Cirkewwa which were spectacular. For the second day, they had organised a local boat to take us to a wreck near Comino and then to the Santa Marija Caves. Ben, our dive guide on both days, allowed us to explore the wrecks on our own but was always nearby in case we needed him.
We really enjoyed diving with DiveWise as they were well organised and accommodated our wishes. They picked us up at our hotel on our first day and even dropped us off on the last day (it was only a 10-minute walk, but it made life so much easier with the dive bag). Their Corona measures were also great, we had our temperature taken every morning and everybody wore masks when in a vehicle.
We look forward to coming back to Malta and diving with DiveWise again!

I had a brilliant first diving experience with Divewise. I felt welcomed by the team both while I was in the UK corresponding with Viv via email, and when I arrived at the dive centre on Saturday. I was really impressed with the level of organisation when I arrived at the centre, we were kitted up in no time. I was also impressed with the quality of the kit we were given (i’ve been used to holes in wetsuits when I’ve hired them before but at Divewise there isn’t a hole in sight!). Sarah was a fantastic instructor. With it being my first ever dive I was slightly apprehensive, but Sarah made me feel at ease and went through in detail what to expect before we got in the water. While we were in the water Sarah was great at communicating what I needed to do and I felt unexpectedly calm under the water. The water was really clear so we saw lots of fish an an Ocotpus! I would highly recommend Divewise to beginners and I hope to return in the future.

If you are a beginner there is a session called Discover Scuba Diving and it is 55 Euros
There is a briefing, pool session and a dive in the sea
All equipment is supplied
You must be 10 years or over
If you take ANY medication you MUST have a doctors letter to say you are fit for diving please
They run daily at 8.30am / 1.30pm / 3.00pm
You must book 2 - 3 days before please

Hello,
There was no building work going on when we visited at end of Oct'14. The Centre had undergone some work to the reception area and classrooms but it was all done and dusted, and looking smart during our stay.
