The caves are different from one would expect as they are excavated by the river in chalk rock. Therefore very narrow . They are inhabited by bats so the curious aspect of the caves is that, if one is lucky, you can get a good site of bats. However it is important to ask as sometimes the bats are not around and some of the caves are not visible as mothers have just delivered. There is a guided tour that can be booked.
