We loved Easby Abby & have fond memories of our young child exploring this wonderful place. Very peaceful. well keapt. Fascinating & atmospheric. great setting in the trees & meadows.

A charming ruined abbey set in a peaceful valley. Plenty of information boards to interpret what you are looking at and free to enter. The only downside is the lack of amenities. Parking is in the local church car park, so a Sunday morning visit...More

Lovely old ruin in sylvan setting. Good to wander round and for kids to run round, and it's free. Can get there by car, but it's a lovely riverside walk form Richmond

We had previously visited Richmond. castle then walked to along the river bank to Easby.Situated in a lovely spot and great views if you climb the the turret. Such an interesting castle and given its age very well preserved. well worth a visit

Hi, by roa it's 2 miles. Richmond sits in the middle of the two sites. HTH

Yes the abbey is just a couple of minutes walk from Howe Villa, which is a very striking building with huge windows as I recall.
