Nice short walk with great views.

Looks great as you drive past so we decided to stop and walk along it. It's not a long walk (despite what it looks like from below). There are car parks on both sides so you can walk from either direction.

It's a few steps up from where we parked but not from the other side as I remember. One of the car parks (closer to Philip Island) has toilet facilities and better parking.

Great views over the beaches and the sea so it's well worth a look.

Summer break

Access to beach is easier by going through trail at end of car park. View from bridge is beautiful. There is both a surf beach and a river for swimming.

Historical bridge well worth visiting and walking over
Nov 2020 • Couples
Beautiful historical railway bridge now renovated so you can now walk/ride bikes over it. Car park close by. Steps to access the beach. We have always just driven past but decided we would love to photograph the bridge so stopped and walked over it. Well worth making the stop as walk is not long, easily accessed and lovely beach too

Landmark

View from the beach, the road or walk over it. We walked the Kilcunda to Wonthaggi rail trail which had stunning coastal views. Highly recommend!

A Must Do
Oct 2019 • Couples
What an amazing Trestle Bridge this is, even better when you get to see it close up.
Make sure you walk around the bottom of the bridge first which is a short walk from the Car Park.
You can get some great photo's of the bridge & beach.
Then climb the steps, not to many of them to the top.
You can either walk down some more steps to the beach & rocks or you can walk across the bridge.
They have cleverly built a concrete bridge over the top to make it safe to walk over.
It's certainly worth going and looking at this Wonderful Old Bridge

They have just done an upgrade to the bridge and made it safer. It is a great walk from Anderson to Wonthaggi.

A different perspective of the coast
May 2019 • Couples
Walking along the refurbished trestle bridge adds variety to the walking track and enables you to take in the view of the coast from a different perspective.
Interesting to read the history of the area and it's mining background.
