We are perennial visitors to Thailand and have covered most of the country but this Wat was of a different order. Just off the smaller highway in Den Chai it features a massive, yes really massive reclining Buddha and the oddest huge elephant faced gold...More

This was a unique temple that we passed while transporting from Sukhothai area to Chiang Rai. Open to the public for viewing, no fee. Worth walking around the grounds and taking photos of the unique architecture.

Amazing reclining buddha in front of very ornate but pretty temple. There are quite a few symbols that relate to Burmes buddhism. The coloured glass work is pretty and the wall paintings are interesting. Very peaceful location.

And very beautiful grounds. Take the time that this place deserves. It's a wonderful temple area that has at least half a mornings worth to see.

Many people see and pass this Wat, easily identified by the huge reclining Buddha from the road but it is worth taking the road up the hill to look further. The courtyard of the Wat is very nicely laid out as are the building outside....More
